Scentsy warmers have been the heart of what we do since 2004, and they're still the first thing most people picture when they hear the name. If you're shopping for one in Australia and you're not sure where to start, this is the guide I'd give you over a cup of tea.
It's simpler than most people expect. Plug in your warmer, break a cube or two off a Scentsy Wax Bar, pop it in the dish and switch it on. Gentle heat melts the wax, the fragrance lifts into the room, and that's the whole job.
No flame. No matches. Nothing to blow out before bed. When a fragrance has had its run, you swap the wax for a new one and start again.
Three steps, really: pick your warmer, pick your fragrance, add wax and enjoy.
All Scentsy Warmers melt our signature scented wax - they just go about it in a variety of ways. There are three families to choose from, and the right one depends less on price than on where the warmer is going to live.
Standard Warmers melt wax with the heat of a low-watt bulb, enlivening a room with candle-like ambience. They're full-sized, they carry fragrance across a decent-sized room, and the bulb gives you a soft glow of an evening - about as close to candlelight as you'll get without a candle.
Choose one if: you want fragrance and light together, and you're furnishing a lounge, living room or main bedroom.
Element Warmers feature heating elements to warm wax without a light bulb. With no globe to design around, the shape, colour and finish get far more freedom - solid ceramics, tall silhouettes and sculptural pieces that simply wouldn't work with a bulb inside.
Choose one if: you want the warmer to earn its place as decor first, you'd rather not think about bulbs, or it's going somewhere a glow would be unwelcome.
Mini Warmers plug into the wall or sit on a Mini Warmer Tabletop Base, so you can enjoy fragrance in smaller spaces. Same idea, smaller footprint. The wall plug version tucks neatly into a power point, and the tabletop base lets the very same warmer sit on a shelf or bench instead.
Choose one if: you're scenting a bathroom, hallway, ensuite, study, caravan or bedside table - anywhere a full-sized warmer would be more than the room needs.

Start with the room rather than the warmer.
A large open living space wants a full-sized Standard or Element Warmer. A small or enclosed room is usually happier with a Mini. If you want light as well as fragrance, that points you at a Standard Warmer. If you want a piece of decor that happens to smell wonderful, that's an Element.
Then the honest part: choose the one you actually like looking at. A warmer sits out on display every day of the year, long after you've stopped noticing which type of heat source it uses. If it doesn't suit your space, the technical details won't rescue it.
And you're not locked in. Plenty of people end up with a Standard Warmer in the lounge, an Element in the bedroom and a Mini in the bathroom, all running different fragrances.
A warmer is only half the story. The other half is what you put in it, and there are over 80 fragrances in the range - light and floral, fruity and fresh, warm and sweet, and everything in between.
Scentsy Wax Bars break into cubes. One cube gives you a gentle, subtle fragrance; two or three will fill a room properly. Not sure how much your dish can take? Turn it over - the number on the bottom tells you how many cubes it comfortably holds.
You can also blend. Pop a cube each of two favourites into the same warmer and you've made a fragrance nobody else has.
The whole Australian range lives on this site. Start with Warmers & Wax for everything in one place, or head straight to All Warmers if you'd rather browse designs first and sort out the type later.
If you prefer to flick through pages the old-fashioned way, the current Australia / New Zealand Scentsy Catalogue is online to browse, with a simplified PDF version to download as well.
Take your time with it. The right warmer is the one you'll still be glad to see on the sideboard in three years.
